Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist
Dr Valerie Said Conti is a consultant paediatric nephrologist at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta and a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. She qualified MD from the University of Malta in 1988, received a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Glasgow in 1994 and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1996 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatricians and Child Health in 2013. She trained in nephrology with the renal team at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Her clinical duties cover general paediatrics with special focus on nephrology.
Her research interests include the congenital nephrotic syndrome and congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. She represents the University of Malta as an associate partner of EuRenOmics.
