The conservation of the Great Siege mural in the Grandmasters Palace Valletta has entered its 3rd year and will reach completion by the end of 2022. The project, which is being supported by the RIDT thanks to a number of donations from various entities, had to slow down significantly due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but has now regained its momentum and is back on course.
In February, a delegation of the EUNIC Malta Cluster visited the project and were given a technical presentation by lead conservator Jennifer Porter and by Heritage Malta’s senior curator Emmanuel Magro Conti. EUNIC is a network of European National Cultural Institutes.
