The Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT) of the University of Malta has funds available through the ALIVE Charity Foundation to support cancer research.
The goal is to support research that might in the future help reduce the incidence of cancer, improve cancer survival and the quality of life of cancer patients. Grants will be awarded to support fundamental or translational research into the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment or prevention of cancer.
Two such projects are being awarded under this call, with a Seal of Excellence awarded for proposals scoring above threshold but not funded. These projects will be considered for funding in case additional funding becomes available.
The application process is managed by the Research Support Services Directorate (RSSD) while RIDT oversees the award process of projects.
