Sports Unity kicks off with enthusiasm
On Thursday 18 July 2024, Ħamrun Ħanin sealed their collaboration with RIDT at a Press Conference in Giardini Lambrosa. Ian Debattista (Ħamrun Ħanin) announced the launch of Sports Unity, with the aim of bringing football and other sports clubs together with to raise funds for Cancer Research at the University of Malta.
The press conference was also addressed by Wilfred Kenely (CEO – RIDT) who praised Ħamrun Ħanin for their commitment and enthusiasm towards cancer research.
This initiative was also supported by the Minister for Education & Sports, Clifton Grima, the Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Keith Azzopardi Tanti and Shadow Minister for Sports, David Agius.
The launch of Sports Unity was given extensive media coverage, and is promising to be a very good platform for the first event which will be a Gala Party for Maltese Sports enthusiasts which will be held in November 2024.
